Our congratulations go to Sir Michael Atiyah for winning the 2004 Abel Prize with Isadore Singer.
Sir Atiyah's best known achievements include the K-Theory and the Atiyah-Singer index theorem, which succeeded in linking the separate disciplines of geometry, topology, algebra and calculus.
