Francis Crick, one of the fathers of Molecular Biology and co-discoverer of the double helix with James Watson died yesterday (July 28 2004) in San Diego, California. He was 88.
In celebration of his life in science and as a memorial to a man who was described by a fellow scientist as "the absolute master in a way that nobody else in that generation was," we have collected some recollections from the archive from Sydney Brenner and John Maynard Smith.
